Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician to independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. The role requires strong technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision.

Responsibilities include diagnosing deficiencies, using hand tools and testing equipment, and ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local codes. Travel to job sites and mentoring of entry-level technicians are also included.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of fire and life safety industry experience as apprentice or technician.
  • CSA, Denver Journeyman License, and/or Colorado Fitter License required.
  • NICET Level I or above preferred.
  • Backflow Certification ASSE preferred.

The Sprinkler Service Technician independently performs service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Other Duties:
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Performs other duties assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
  • Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
Pay Range:

$36.00 - $42.00 hourly DOE

Anticipated Close:

11.5.2026
