Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Norcross, GA is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Service Technician to perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. The role involves diagnosing deficiencies, using hand tools and testing equipment, and ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.

You will document service reports, communicate with customers, and travel to job sites as needed. Minimum high school diploma and 3+ years in fire safety required; NICET Level I+ preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Sprinkler Service Technician independently performs service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.

Education/Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.

• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Other Duties

• Performs other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.

Pay

• $25 to $30 depending on certifications and experience
• Weekly pay.
