Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a dedicated Sprinkler Service Technician in Georgia. The role focuses on independent service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, with potential progression to Journeyman level.

You will ensure NFPA standards and local codes are met while completing service reports and communicating with customers. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years in the field, and NICET Level I or higher preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as apprentice or technician.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • NICET Level I or above preferred.
  • Clean driving record with active driver's license if driving is required.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
  • Travel to job sites as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

The Sprinkler Service Technician independently performs service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
  • Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
Pay

$25 to $30 depending on certifications and experience. Weekly pay. Company vehicle provided.
