Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking apprentices to learn and assist in the installation of fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial and industrial applications.

You may work alternate shifts or weekends and must perform duties safely and professionally. You will assist the foreman with wet, dry, pre-action and deluge sprinkler systems, follow all safety policies, maintain documentation, and handle equipment up to 70 lbs while performing physical labor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to jobsite and classroom instruction.
• Ability to work well with others and communicate in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Learn/assist installation of fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial and industrial use.
• Assist foreman in installing sprinkler systems and follow safety policies.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed.
• Carry/move equipment up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Work in varied positions and maintain a clean, safe work area.
