Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field technician to perform inspections, testing, servicing, installation and maintenance of life safety product lines in accordance with regulatory codes. You will work with low-voltage wiring and related devices, using laptops to document actions and maintain schedules.

Ideal candidates will have 5–10 years in sprinkler systems, the ability to read blueprints, and a valid RME-I license or ability to obtain required licenses.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, schematics.
• Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventative maintenance of life safety product lines and similar products.
• Work with low voltage wiring and devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptops or paper.
• Maintain a structured inspection schedule and archive documentation.
