Living Spaces Furniture in La Mirada, CA is hiring a full-time Springer for our Manufacturing Department. The ideal team member demonstrates humility, respect, speed, and discipline while putting guests first.

You will install webbing and springs, use a tack hammer and staple gun, and assist in building durable frames for upholstery. Prior furniture or car upholstery experience is a plus but not required; eligible team members receive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required or equivalent.
• Up to 1 year experience using hand and power tools.
• Furniture or car upholstery experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Install webbing and springs in furniture frames preparatory to upholstering.
• Tack or staple ends of webbing strips to frame sides and back.
• Stretch webbing and secure to opposite frame side.
• Weave and secure strips to cover openings on the back of frame.
• Cut webbing overlap with hand shears.
• Position and fasten springs to webbing using required tools.

Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Installs webbing and springs in furniture frames preparatory to upholstering:
• Tacks or staples ends of webbing strips to side of frame, using tack hammer or staple gun.
• Stretches webbing across frame with webbing stretcher and tacks ends to opposite side of frame.
• Tacks strips to back of frame and weaves them through crosspieces to cover opening.
• Cuts webbing overlap with hand shears.
• Positions coil springs on webbing and fastens spring to webbing with needle and twine or with metal clips, using clinching tool.

Qualifications

• Up to 1 year(s) experience using hand and power tools.
• Qualifications: Previous furniture or car upholstery experience is preferred, but not required.

Position Hiring Range

The hiring pay range provides a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage that Living Spaces expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant’s education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this page at any time.

Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00

Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members.Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy.Retail, Guest Services and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI’s.
