Job summary

Living Spaces is seeking an upholstery line worker (Springer) in our Manufacturing Department in California. This full-time role focuses on furniture frame assembly, webbing, and spring installation.

You’ll work with hand and power tools in a fast-paced setting, lifting up to 100 pounds while maintaining safety and quality standards. Eligible employees receive paid holidays, medical/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, and coworker discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in furniture upholstery or related trades preferred but not required.
• Able to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Willingness to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Installs webbing and springs in furniture frames preparatory to upholstering.
• Tacks or staples ends of webbing strips to side of frame using tack hammer or staple gun.
• Stretches webbing across frame with webbing stretcher and tacks ends to opposite side.
• Tacks strips to back of frame and weaves them through crosspieces to cover opening.
• Cuts webbing overlap with hand shears.
• Positions coil springs on webbing and fastens spring to webbing with needle and twine or metal clips.

Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
