Ripken Baseball is offering a paid internship at the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, TN. This internship runs February 2027 through May 2027 and may provide college credit. You will assist with spring events, support the event coordinator, and gain hands-on experience in tournament operations.

This paid internship emphasizes customer service, field operations, and hands-on duties across rosters, paperwork, and game administration to deliver a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or working towards a related field.

• willingness to work long hours, including weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist with rosters, welcome packets, and paperwork before each tournament and for softball spring training.
• Serve as a tournament official, maintaining knowledge of rules and procedures, announcing games and operating scoreboards.
• Serve as a customer service representative to coaches regarding tournament questions.
• Collaborate with front office to successfully execute all tournaments.
• Perform basic grounds crew duties such as field work and water cooler filling.
• Conduct basic cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, restroom upkeep, windows, and trash pickup.
• Assist Food and Beverage and Retail Managers with cashiering, grilling, and stocking retail floor.
• Maintain professionalism and provide extraordinary customer service to external and internal guests.
• Absorb training and demonstrate initiative to uphold Ripken values and brand.
• Work with staff to achieve objectives and deliver a memorable participant experience.

As a successful Intern, you will be responsible for assisting with operations during our spring events at the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, TN. This is a paid internship that gives you the opportunity to earn college credit. This internship will run from February 2027 - May 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly under the Event Coordinator in assisting him/her with rosters, welcome packets, and paperwork before each tournament and for softball spring training
• Serve as a tournament official, maintaining a working knowledge of rules and procedures, announcing games and operating scoreboards
• Serve as a customer service representative to the coaches. Answer questions as they pertain to their tournament
• Work directly with front office personnel to successfully execute all tournaments
• Perform basic grounds crew duties such as field work and filling water coolers
• Execute basic cleaning duties which include but are not limited to, sweeping, mopping, cleaning & stocking restrooms, cleaning windows and picking up trash
• Assist Food and Beverage and Retail Managers as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cashier, grill, restocking retail floor
• Always convey and maintain a high level of professionalism while providing extraordinary external and internal customer service
• Absorb training and demonstrate the initiative, desire, and drive to help uphold the values established by the Ripken name and brand
• Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or working towards Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic
• Team player who is willing and able to listen and learn
• Ability and commitment to work long hours, including weekends, depending on business needs
