Essential Functions

• Set up, adjust, and operate spring coiling and secondary manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure efficient operation of departmental machinery and production equipment.
• Perform machine adjustments and minor repairs to maintain production uptime.
• Remove existing tooling and install replacement tooling as required.
• Monitor machine performance and production efficiency throughout each shift.
• Support on-time delivery requirements and production schedules.
• Maintain production run rates and maximize equipment uptime.
• Support quality initiatives by minimizing scrap, rework, and customer returns.
• Follow all company safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate recommendations.
• Assist with training and mentoring operators when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned while maintaining dependable attendance.

Job Specifications

• High School Diploma, Trade School Certification, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of spring manufacturing setup experience required.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting spring coiling and secondary equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
• Experience utilizing gauges, measuring instruments, and inspection equipment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting production goals.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment supporting spring coiling and secondary operations.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and moving throughout the shift.
• Must be able to read work instructions, specifications, blueprints, and production documentation.
• Requires manual dexterity for precision manufacturing and machine setup activities.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials, tooling, and production components.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Must comply with all safety protocols and wear required PPE while on the production floor.

Career Progression

• Level 1 – Performs machine set-ups with guidance and assistance.
• Level 2 – Independently performs machine set-ups and machine adjustments.
