Position Summary

HW Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Spring Set-Up Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Farmington, CT. This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, troubleshooting, and operating spring coiling and secondary machinery to produce precision components that meet stringent quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with spring manufacturing equipment, and the ability to independently perform machine setups while maintaining production and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

• • Set up and adjust spring coiling and secondary manufacturing equipment.
• • Ensure efficient operation of departmental machinery.
• • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to machine tools and equipment.
• • Remove existing tooling and install new tooling as required.
• • Maintain machine performance and production efficiency throughout each shift.

Production & Quality Goals

• • Support on-time delivery requirements.
• • Maintain production run rates and machine uptime.
• • Achieve quality standards while minimizing scrap and rework.
• • Help reduce production delays and customer returns.
• • Maintain excellent attendance and reliability.

Additional Responsibilities

• • Follow all company safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards.
• • Observe manufacturing processes and recommend improvements.
• • Assist in training or mentoring other employees when needed.
• • Perform additional duties as assigned.
• • Maintain dependable attendance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• • High School Diploma, Trade School certification, or equivalent experience.
• • Minimum 5 years of spring manufacturing setup experience required.
• • Strong mathematical skills.

• • Experience using gauges and inspection equipment.
