Job summary

Girls on the Run Minnesota is seeking a Duluth-based intern for Spring 2027 to support the Program team. The role averages 10 hours per week, including coaching two 90-minute sessions and remote work for GOTR Minnesota, with a mix of in-person program coaching and virtual tasks.

This part-time internship runs Jan 25–May 31, 2027, with possible school credit and $17.50/hour. Applicants must live in Duluth, be available 2-3 weekday afternoons, and be able to travel locally for coaching and events.

Qualifications

• Passion for Girls on the Run mission and ability to discuss empowerment and health topics.
• Commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA) personally and professionally.
• Must be available at least 2 non-consecutive weekday afternoons (2-5 p.m.) for coaching.
• Must live in Duluth, MN or the surrounding area.
• Must be available an additional six hours to work remotely.
• Ability to travel locally for coaching, site visits and events.
• Computer competence including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, data management, and email.
• Be flexible, adaptable, proactive, dependable and personable.

Responsibilities

• Serving as a Girls on the Run coach (leading two 90-minute sessions each week).
• Assisting with coach recruitment, training and support throughout our 8-week season (mid-March to May).
• Completing data entry related to program volunteers, 5K participants, and site management.
• Supporting tabling events at public outreach and community events.
• Assisting with administrative duties that support GOTR MN operations.
