Qualifications

• Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute.
• By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
• Preference may be given to junior/senior, SD residents, and students of SD institutions.
• Positions can be filled prior to the closing date.

Responsibilities

• Involve in all aspects of hatchery operations, including feeding and inventories.
• Stock fish into public waters and perform building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
• Assist with hatchery research projects, data collection, literature reviews, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
• Lead responsibilities may be assigned on a specific research project.
