Job summary

Lennox International in Carrollton, TX is offering a Hardware Engineering Co-Op internship that provides hands-on experience in electrical design, prototype development, testing, and documentation for residential HVAC control products.

You will work with experienced engineers on real projects, gain exposure to hardware development processes, and contribute to design verification and analysis while balancing your academic schedule in a part-time internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Completion of electrical design coursework.
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits and circuit analysis.
• Familiarity with electrical laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical design activities for residential HVAC control products.
• Support circuit evaluation, component selection, and design verification efforts.
• Contribute to engineering documentation and design-related activities.
• Gain exposure to industry-standard hardware development processes.
• Assist with prototype assembly, validation, and laboratory testing activities.
• Support engineers in conducting electrical and functional testing of hardware systems.
• Help collect, organize, and analyze test results to support product development efforts.
• Participate in troubleshooting and debugging activities to identify and resolve hardware issues.
• Assist with maintaining product documentation, test records, and technical reports.
• Present project findings and accomplishments to Lennox leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
