Job summary

North Lincoln High School in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a Baseball Varsity Assistant Coach for the upcoming Spring season. The role reports to the Principal and Athletic Director and offers a coaching stipend based on experience with NCHSAA.

Responsibilities include assisting in planning and administering the baseball program, maintaining a productive learning environment, and communicating with parents and the community.

Qualifications

• :Must be at least 21 years old, HS Diploma or GED, coaching experience preferred.
• All coaches (volunteer or paid) must complete the required coaching courses NFHS.com before being approved to work with student athletes.
• CPR certification is required for paid coaches.
• HR onboarding policies, HR screening (drug test and background check) and a current health physical and TB test are required before approval.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing leadership and planning in the sport program as assigned by the coach.
• Assist in administering the sport program and maintaining a climate conducive to learning.
• Assist in establishing and implementing an improvement process for the sport.
• Foster good public and employee relations for the sport and coach.
• Maintain professional work habits and develop coaching staff.
• Communicate with parents and the educational community.
• Implement fundamental sports skills and sports management systems.
• Cooperate with principal and head coach; organize coaching staff and relations with participants and community.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
