Job summary

North Lincoln High School in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a Track Varsity Assistant Coach for the Men’s Team. This part-time position reports to the Principal and Athletic Director and involves assisting with planning, coaching, and administering the track program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• Coaching experience preferred.
• NFHS coaching courses must be completed before working with student athletes.
• CPR certification required for paid coaches and may be completed through the school system.
• HR onboarding, HR screening (drug test and background check), and health physical and TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, developing and implementing an instructional program in the sport as assigned.
• Assists in administering the sport program.
• Fosters a climate conducive to learning as assigned by the coach.
• Maintains professional work habits.
• Communicates with parents and the educational community.
• Implements fundamental sports skills and sports management systems.
• Organizes coaching staff and develops positive relationships with participants, school and community.
