Job summary

Lincoln County Schools is seeking a part-time Basketball Assistant Coach for the Boy's Team at North Lincoln Middle School in Denver, NC. The role starts immediately and reports to the Principal and Athletic Director. The position provides a coaching stipend based on experience with NCHSAA.

Qualified candidates must be at least 21, hold a HS Diploma or GED, and complete NFHS coaching courses. CPR certification is required for paid coaches, and onboarding/background checks are required prior to

Qualifications

• Must have coaching experience.
• NFHS coaching courses required for all coaches (volunteer or paid).
• Must be eligible to obtain a CDL bus driver's license.
• CPR certification required for paid coaches; may be done through the school system.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, developing, and implementing a coaching program.
• Assists in administering the basketball program.
• Supports creating a learning-friendly climate as directed by the coach.
• Helps implement improvement processes for the sport.
• Maintains professional work habits and continuous skill development.
• Communicates with parents and the school community.
• Implements fundamental basketball skills and related coaching systems.
• Cooperates with the principal and head coach; supports staff and community relations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
