Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
• Active RN license and PA licensure eligibility.
• At least 3 years of academic teaching experience including clinical instruction.
• At least 3 years of professional Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver evidence-based teaching strategies for undergraduate nursing courses.
• Integrate innovative and inclusive pedagogical approaches into the curriculum.
• Mentor and advise nursing students to support academic and professional growth.
• Promote equity, inclusion, and academic freedom, fostering a welcoming environment for all students and colleagues.
• Participate in service activities within the university, School of Nursing, and local community.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the mission and goals of the School of Nursing.
• Support interprofessional education and collaborative practice experiences.
• Engage in clinical practice as required by advanced practice certification.
• Provide optional volunteer opportunities at the Widener Community Nursing Clinic, offering pro bono care to underserved/uninsured populations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned or directed to support departmental needs and align with the mission of the School of Nursing.
