Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Spring 2027 Production Engineer Co-op to join our Operations Leadership Development Program in the Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. Based in Hingham, MA, the role runs January through June 2027 and prepares you for a two-year rotational program and other entry-level positions after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant engineering fields.
• Must be enrolled as a student at Northeastern University at the time of the co-op.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production performance including output, efficiency, downtime, quality, and labor utilization.
• Maintain production dashboards, scorecards, and action tracking systems for daily management.
• Lead and support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Conduct process observations, time studies, bottleneck analyses, and line-balancing studies to identify improvements.
• Develop and implement digital tools that automate manual processes and improve operational visibility and decision-making.
• Support quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement initiatives through data analysis, audits, and corrective actions.
• Develop and standardize SOPs, visual work instructions, and operational best practices.
• Manage improvement projects from planning through implementation, tracking results and sustaining improvements.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, safety, and cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements.
