Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related majors.
• Must be enrolled as a student at the University of Texas Arlington at the time of the co‑op.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
• Basic knowledge of industrial engineering and Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and assembly aids to improve safety, quality, productivity, and ergonomics.
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and production challenges to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Develop concepts based on manufacturing, safety, quality, and ergonomic requirements.
