Job summary

Synergy Flavors, Inc. in Chicago, IL, is hiring a Compounder for our production facility. You will follow batching instructions, weigh ingredients, operate spray dry equipment, monitor temperatures and quality, and collect samples for lab testing.

This role requires adherence to GMP, food safety, and proper PPE. The position is 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, onsite with overtime as needed. Starting hourly rate is $23, plus a 5% shift differential and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• General knowledge of workplace safety, GMPs, allergens, and quality processes.
• Acute attention to detail with ability to produce error-free work.
• Strong math skills and ability to read scales for unit measurements.
• Basic computer skills; RF scanner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow batching instructions to measure, weigh, and transfer ingredients.
• Operate spray dry equipment, liquid reactors, piping, and related parts.
• Monitor temperatures, consistency, and quality throughout production.
• Sample and test finished mixes for required attributes.
• Complete batch sheets and documentation accurately.
• Maintain sanitary standards through CIP and proper material handling.
• Perform tasks safely with required PPE and comply with policies.
• Support fast-paced production and collaborate with the team.
• Lift heavy drums and bags while wearing PPE.
• Complete assigned duties without errors.
