Job summary

Synergy Flavors in Chicago, IL is seeking a Compounder for our production facility. You will weigh ingredients, operate spray dryers, mixers, and blending tanks, and follow batch instructions with care. You will take samples for lab testing and adhere to food-safety guidelines and documentation.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, PPE use, and occasional overtime. We offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus, a 5% shift differential on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm), onsite work, and a collaborative,

Qualifications

HS Diploma/GED Preferred.
Knowledge of workplace safety, GMPs, allergens, and quality processes.
Acute attention to detail with ability to produce error-free work.
Strong math skills and ability to read scales for unit measures.
Basic computer skills; RF scanner experience preferred.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and wear PPE/respirator (with medical clearance).
Respirator clearance after Doctor's approval and fit test.

Responsibilities

Follow batching instructions to measure, weigh, and transfer ingredients.
Operate spray dry equipment, liquid reactors, piping, and related parts.
Monitor temperatures, consistency, and quality throughout production.
Sample and test finished mixes for required attributes.
Complete batch sheets, documentation, and paperwork accurately.
Maintain sanitary standards through cleaning (CIP) and proper handling of materials.
Support fast-paced production by multitasking, adjusting to priorities and collaborating with the team.
