Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in spot and stud welding and clinch studding.
• Able to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Basic math skills and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Independently run basic setup for Spot Welding, Stud Welding and Clinch Studding machines and fabricate parts to standard.
• Understand and use functions within JDE programming (sending Kanban cards, tracking Kanban status/history).
• Utilize and maintain Drawings, Non-Cad Process Sheets, Fab to Order and Operating Instructions.
• Know all fixtures in the assigned department.
• Repair most defects independently and troubleshoot machine misalignments.
• Identify material types and properly dispose of scrap.
• Maintain safety procedures and a clean work environment.
• Complete all required work within time requirements with high quality.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
