Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Spot Weld Operator in Ohio to set up and operate spot welding equipment, adjust weld parameters, and position parts for welding.

You will inspect weld quality, enter part data into ERP, and maintain equipment with basic preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. The role requires reading quality tools, basic math, safety awareness, and the ability to operate cranes/hoists and grinders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with spot welding and welding guns preferred.
• Ability to read quality inspection tools and measurements.
• Proficient in basic math and using computers.
• Able to operate cranes/hoists.
• Commitment to safety and environmental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate spot weld machine/gun.
• Change and file gun tips; adjust welder settings.
• Position parts, load/unload in fixtures, and activate welder.
• Use grinder to remove excess weld beads.
• Inspect welds and verify product quality with measurement tools.
• Enter part information/inventory into ERP system.
