Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a 1st & 2nd shift Spot Welder with set-up experience for our Roseville, MN facility. This role focuses on sheet metal fabrication using spot-welding processes, electrode setup, heat and timing control, and quality inspection to ensure weld accuracy.

The successful candidate will operate per routings and drawings and collaborate with the leadership team to deliver high-quality components.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Spot Welding preferred.
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with the leadership team.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission.

Responsibilities

• Use Spot Welding equipment; apply copper electrodes to concentrate welding current.
• Install proper electrodes on the spot-welding machine.
• Adjust heat, pressure settings, and timing of current.
• Inspect work using a micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.
• Deliver the first piece to inspection for verification of dimensions and weld accuracy.
• Supervise and identify faults, then notify supervisors.
