Wilson Sporting Goods Co. in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Technical Designer for the Sportswear brand in a hybrid work environment. You will support the technical design process from pattern to fit, assist with tech packs, and collaborate with the global design team to bring concepts to production.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design and 5+ years of experience in garment construction, fabric, and prototyping, with proven communication across factories and languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design or related area.
• 5+ years of experience in product design/development with expertise in garment construction, fabric, and prototyping.
• Strong communication with factories and across language barriers.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed product initiations to product development for pattern, grading, and fit direction based on fabric information.
• Manage patterns and fit for all products, working directly with in-house pattern making and factories.
• Create patterns, mock-ups and prototypes as needed to explore, resolve, and prove new concepts or construction techniques.
• Determine manufacturing product construction for tech packs
• Manage technical fabric and manufacturing standards for all products.
• Analyze and comment on prototypes with factories to ensure quality, construction, and fit align with brand needs.
• Ensure all product technical specifications have clear and up to date documentation in PLM system.
