Job summary

The Sports Facilities Advisory & Management is seeking an Operations Manager for Boyd County Sportsplex in Boyd County, KY. You will oversee daily operations across facilities, manage staff, and ensure a first-class guest experience.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in facilities-related field and at least three years of relevant experience, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facility management or related field required.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing multiple facilities and event setups.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day operations of staff with mentorship and accountability.
• Manage part-time facility operations employees (hire, train, schedule, evaluate).
• Coordinate event setup/teardown and day-of-event tasks.
• Work with event rightsholders to meet event expectations.
• Develop maintenance schedules for facilities and grounds.
• Oversee cleaning, turf, floor care, inspections, and equipment.
• Collaborate with events, marketing, finance, F&B, and leadership for guest experience.
• Inspect grounds daily for debris and ensure facilities stay state-of-the-art.
• Monitor performance and submit work orders; communicate status.
• Server as Manager on Duty as assigned.
• Manage opening/closing of facility and budget adherence.
