Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facility management, recreation, sports management or related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing multiple facilities, setup/teardown, scheduling staff, and grounds maintenance.

• Team-oriented with flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
• CPR/FIRST AID certifications or willingness to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day operations of staff with mentorship and accountability.
• Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate part-time facility operations employees.
• Collaborate with venue event management to ensure setups and breakdowns meet requirements.
• Coordinate with event rightsholders to meet event expectations.
• Develop maintenance schedules for facilities including cleaning, turf grooming, and inspections.
• Manage event cleaning services and cross-functional collaboration to ensure guest experience.
• Oversee equipment, storage, and facility assets with stewardship mindset.
• Monitor daily performance and raise issues or improvements proactively.
• Submit work orders and communicate status with clients.
• Serve as MOD and handle daily open/close of facility within budget.

Position Summary

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of various facilities of the venue. The Operations Manager will ensure that each facility and the appropriate equipment are in good working order to provide first‑class experience to all guests. Responsible for all set‑up and tear‑down of numerous events, facilities are organized and clutter‑free, and the grounds and parking lots are clean and pristine at all times.

Primary Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Lead and supervise day‑to‑day operations of staff through mentorship, delegation, develop and assign daily tasks, ensure first‑in‑class customer service, enforce responsibility and accountability, and ensure timelines are being met
• Manage (hire, train, evaluate, schedule, and terminate) part‑time facility operations employees.
• Responsible for working in conjunction with the venue event management staff on event details to ensure set ups, breakdowns, and day of event(s) are met and delivered
• Working in conjunction with event rightsholders to ensure we meet expectations for their events
• Develop and implement routine schedules for maintenance of all facilities, such as cleaning, turf grooming, floor care, inspections, equipment monitoring, upkeep, painting, etc.
• Coordinate schedules for during‑event and post‑event cleaning services
• Work cross‑functionally with events, marketing, finance, food and beverage, and leadership teams to ensure strong execution and consistent guest experience
• Inspect grounds of the entire complex daily to ensure a debris‑free environment on grounds and in parking lots, evaluate cleaning staff responsibilities, ensure all equipment is stored in an organized fashion to preserve life, and ensure facilities remain state‑of‑the‑art
• Help oversee equipment, storage, supplies, and facility assets with a stewardship mindset
• Monitor daily operational performance and identify issues, blockers, or improvement opportunities before they affect guests, staff, and partners
• Submit work orders as necessary through the client liaisons and have constant communication on the status of pending work orders
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned
• Responsible for daily open and close of facility
• Work within confines of the established budget
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in facility management, recreation, sports management, or a related field and a minimum of three years of appropriate experience, or the equivalent combination of education & experience is required
• Prior experience with managing various facilities, set‑up and tear‑down, scheduling employees, maintaining grounds, etc.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving, and negotiating skills
• Must be a team player
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours)
• Must possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications or must be willing to obtain them within a specified period of time
