Job summary

PENN Entertainment is hiring for a Sportsbook Cashier role. You will write, verify, and pay out sports wager tickets, manage a cash bank, and stock cashier stations. You’ll explain wagering rules and assist guests while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Prior race and sportsbook experience is preferred, and the job supports a fast-paced casino environment. Eligible candidates should be at least 21, with cash-handling experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Minimum six months of cash-handling experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in race and sportsbook.
• Previous experience in a similar resort environment.
• Must be able to obtain Maryland Lottery License.

Responsibilities

• Write, verify, and pay out sports wager tickets per policy and regulations.
• Maintain a cash bank for the shift and handle payments and change as required.
• Stock Sports book Writer/Cashier stations with supplies and keep areas neat and clean.
• Write Sports tickets accurately and timely.
• Make payments on winning tickets accurately and timely; verify tickets and pays.
• Maintain and reconcile bank for the shift per cash-handling policies.
• Explain wagering rules, betting lines, and odds to guests.
• Provide information and assistance to guests to ensure guest service.
• Direct guests for further information and activities as needed.
• Create and enter player tracking cards.
• Notify management of escalated guest issues and any suspicious activity.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
