Caesars Sportsbook & Casino in Elgin, IL seeks a supervisor to lead day-to-day sportsbook operations and ensure guest satisfaction. You will train ticket writers, resolve guest issues, and ensure compliance with gaming laws and company policies.

Ideal candidates have sportsbook or gaming experience, strong math and customer-service skills, and the ability to work nights or holidays. The role requires English proficiency and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must obtain and maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
  • Prior sportsbook operations or gaming industry experience preferred.
  • Must perform basic math and pass a math assessment.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must read, write and speak English.
  • Must lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Will perform the following job duties:

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the sportsbook, ensuring efficient operations and a high level of guest service.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor sportsbook ticket writers, ensuring they adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service.
  • Address and resolve any guest issues or disputes promptly and professionally, maintaining a positive guest experience.
  • Ensure that sportsbook operations comply with all regulatory and company policies, including gaming laws and anti-money laundering protocols.
  • Monitor the ticket-writing process to ensure accuracy in bets, payouts, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with daily reporting, handle financial transactions, and maintain accurate records of bets placed and payouts made.
  • Assist in creating and managing team schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Support sportsbook promotional activities, special events, and marketing initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Provide feedback to management on operational improvements and contribute ideas to enhance the guest experience.

  • Familiarity with gaming regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Responsibility for understanding and adhering to all company and gaming compliance requirements.
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
  • Prior experience in sportsbook operations or a similar role within the gaming industry preferred.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions and pass math assessment.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull to 25 lbs.
  • Requires bending, stooping and reaching from floor level to approximately 6 feet high
  • Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
  • Possess effective learning skills.
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period.
  • Salary Range: $19.00 per hour (plus tips)
