Job summary

City of Peoria’s Venue Operations Associate supports the Peoria Sports Complex and Rio Vista Recreation Center with ticket sales, event operations, and community partnerships. You’ll gain exposure to multiple facets of professional sports, recreation, and municipal government while delivering excellent customer service to patrons and partners.

The role is seasonal, part-time, and non-benefited, with 25–40 hours weekly during peak season and predominantly October through April.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree in a related field preferred.
  • Applicants who will complete by December 2026 in Sports Management, Marketing, Recreation, or related field encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience in sports, entertainment, or venue management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate sales via outbound calls for Spring Training games and ticket renewals.
  • Assist in day-to-day ticket office operations and staff scheduling.
  • Provide in-person and telephone customer service for digital tickets and seating.
  • Support ticket sales and operations using Tickets.com and payments processing.
  • Develop fundraising and sponsorship programs and execute theme nights.
  • Oversee gameday operations, including parking, security, and guest services.
  • Supervise part-time staff and assistants during events.
