Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years related experience.
  • Working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment and procedures.
  • Licensed for Ornamental and Turf Pest Control within 6 months of hire.
  • Playground Safety Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Backflow/Check Valve Certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff engaged in maintenance and landscaping of the City’s community parks and Sports Complex.
  • Conduct technical maintenance work such as ball field preparation and renovations.
  • Oversee irrigation system testing and maintenance.
  • Act as onsite lead turf grass management representative for application, recording, and storage of required fertilizers and pesticides.
  • Complete administrative tasks, attend meetings, manage weekly reports, conduct onsite safety inspections, and monitor supplies and inventory.
