Diocese of Brooklyn seeks a dedicated Sports Coordinator & Assignor to oversee CYO athletic programs across Brooklyn and Queens. You will coordinate day-to-day operations, develop schedules, and assign game officials, ensuring smooth league operations and strong communication with parishes, athletic directors, coaches, and venues.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sports administration or athletic operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple sports, schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficient with scheduling software and Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations for CYO sports and programs.
  • Develop regular-season, playoff, and championship schedules.
  • Assign officials to contests based on availability and level.
  • Maintain communications with PARs, Athletic Directors, coaches, officials, facilities.
  • Maintain league records in CYO Connect and other systems.
  • Attend meetings, playoffs, championships, and events as needed.
