Job summary

Catholic Charities Community Services Archdiocese of New York is seeking a part-time Recreational Coordinator to support educational progression, sports activities, and youth development in the community. The role focuses on developing sports programs, coordinating coaches, and delivering wrap-around services to participants.

Hours are evenings and weekends during the school year, with opportunities for additional hours to meet deadlines and participant needs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of sports and recreation.
• Experience in organizing tournaments and working with youth.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the sports and recreation components.
• Follow-up and maintain a core group of 30 participants for wrap around services.
• Manage the gym during SNL sessions.
• Create lesson plans for multiple sports.
• Supervise coaches.
• Coordinate sports and youth development workshops.
• Provide weekly numbers to leadership.
• Attend trainings and meetings scheduled by CCCS and DYCD.
• Attend staff meetings.
