Job summary

Washtenaw Community College is seeking a Part Time WCC Sports Student Assistant to support the Sports Department operations, events, and promotions. The role is designed for current students balancing academics with professional experience.

You will assist with event logistics, scheduling, marketing materials, and communications while gaining insights into sports management and student programming. This position offers a flexible schedule and a student-friendly work environment.

Qualifications

• Must maintain or exceed a 2.0 cumulative GPA and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Support the programming and activities within WCC Sports.
• Prepare, monitor and lead sporting events and tryouts; assist coaches as needed.
• Provide pre-event logistics support: planning, preparation, promotion, and organization.
• Provide onsite event support: setup, check-in, and clean-up.
• Assist with post-event support: communication, data collection, assessment, documentation.
