Job description

Position Summary

Assist Sports Nutritionists with providing nutrition services for UGA Olympic Sports. This will include food service and management, education, and outreach activities within NCAA and UGA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, stock and maintain fueling stations in sports locker rooms, weight rooms, and nutrition offices
• Help pack competition and travel snacks for teams in season
• Aid with general office organization and operations as needed
• Assist in receiving large food/supplement deliveries and stocking storage rooms
• Assist in storage room and inventory management of refrigerated and dry food products
• Develop educational outreach for bulletin boards and departmental social media
• Collaborate with Sports Nutritionists and interns to create educational material for specific sports teams, including handouts, electronic designs, and team talks
• Work with Sports Nutritionists and interns to create social media posts and outreach
• Help with food demonstrations, food challenges, and other snack demos
• Engage with student-athletes to spread nutrition themes and messages
• Assist in departmental projects and tasks as needed
• Perform other tasks and projects as they arise on a day-to-day basis

Physical Demands

Reach with hands and arms, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds, use close and distance vision and peripheral vision; moderate to high noise level during practice and competitions.
