Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking a Sports Nutrition Student Worker to assist nutritionists in providing nutrition services to Olympic sports athletes. The role involves food service, education, outreach, and collaboration with interns to develop materials for teams.

As a student employee, you will help with stocking fueling stations, planning education content, and engaging with student-athletes to promote nutrition messages within NCAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student assisting with nutrition services and education.
• Support for sports nutritionists in delivering services to NCAA athletes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, stock and maintain fueling stations in sport locker rooms, weight room, and nutrition offices
• Help pack competition and travel snacks for teams in season
• Aid with general office organization and operations as needed
• Assist in receiving large food/ supplement deliveries and stocking storage rooms
• Assist in storage room/ inventory management of refrigerated and dry food products
• Develop educational outreach for bulletin boards and departmental social media
• Collaborate with Sports Nutritionists and interns in creation of educational material for specific sports teams including handouts, electronic designs, team talks, etc.
• Work with Sports Nutritionists and interns to create social media posts and outreach
• Help with food demonstrations, food challenges, and other snack demos
• Engage with our student-athletes to spread nutrition themes, messages, etc.
• Assist in departmental projects and tasks as needed
• Perform other tasks and projects as they arise on a day-to-day basis
