Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a Sports Medicine Coordinator (Athletic Trainer) to oversee the day-to-day operations of the sports medicine program and ensure services align with hospital policies. The role includes staffing coordination, community outreach oversight, and collaboration with leadership on space, equipment, and budget needs.

Responsibilities extend to developing and coordinating special events, tracking revenue and resources, and driving strategic initiatives to grow

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training.
Licensed by the Florida Board of Athletic Training.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
Minimum of 1 year of trainer or coordinator experience.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the sports medicine program.
Ensure services follow hospital policies and procedures.
Staff a sufficient number of qualified staff for care provision.
Oversee the community outreach program and coordinate events.
Provide input on space/equipment, budgetary needs, and resources.
Develop strategic initiatives and manage relationships to grow the service line.
