HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a Sports Medicine Coordinator (Athletic Trainer) to oversee the day-to-day operations of the sports medicine program and ensure services align with hospital policies. The role includes staffing coordination, community outreach oversight, and collaboration with leadership on space, equipment, and budget needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training.
• Licensed by the Florida Board of Athletic Training.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum of 1 year of trainer or coordinator experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the sports medicine program.
• Ensure services follow hospital policies and procedures.
• Staff a sufficient number of qualified staff for care provision.
• Oversee the community outreach program and coordinate events.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Sports Medicine Coordinator (Athletic Trainer) will conduct the day-to-day operations of the sports medicine program. He/she ensures that sports medicine services are provided according to the policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. The coordinator is responsible for staffing a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care/service and assures the qualifications and competence of those staff members meet the needs of the program. The coordinator will be responsible for the oversight of the community outreach program, development and coordination of special events and other special events assigned. The coordinator provides input to the hospital administration regarding space/equipment recommendations, budgetary needs, revenue tracking system, and other resources needed by the department. Strategic initiatives and relationships will also be managed by the coordinator in order to ensure the continued growth and success of the sports medicine service line.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training
