The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Phoenix, AZ is looking to fill a Sports Instructor I position. The qualified candidate must display integrity, enthusiasm, sound moral judgment, and provide a safe, fun, and enjoyable learning environment for all participants. Responsibilities include teaching beginners and intermediate learners in assigned sports, communicating effectively with small and large groups, providing individual development guidelines, and creating and implementing lesson plans. Other duties may be assigned as they relate to the position of Sports Instructor I.
Qualified individuals must be able to perform essential duties with or without accommodations. Reasonable modifications will be considered. Regularly, employees must walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach. They must be able to lift/move up to 20 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employees must operate telephones and computers and access and produce information accordingly.
