About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Sports Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, operation, and enhancement of sports facilities in Queenstown. This role is crucial for ensuring that all venues are safe, well-maintained, and equipped to host a variety of sporting events and community activities within the Eastern Cape. You will manage a team responsible for groundskeeping, equipment, security, and event setup, ensuring a seamless experience for athletes, spectators, and staff. This is a vital position in supporting the region's vibrant Leisure & Sports infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations and maintenance of all assigned sports facilities, including fields, courts, and arenas.
• Develop and implement cleaning, repair, and preventative maintenance schedules for all facilities and equipment.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of groundskeepers, maintenance staff, and event support personnel.
• Ensure all facilities meet stringent safety standards and regulations, conducting regular inspections.
• Oversee event setup and breakdown, coordinating with event organizers to meet their specific requirements.
• Manage inventory of sports equipment, cleaning supplies, and maintenance materials.
• Develop and manage the operational budget for sports facilities, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a sports or recreational setting.
