Placements24 is seeking a proactive Sports Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, operations, and enhancements of sports venues in Queenstown. You will lead a team responsible for groundskeeping, equipment, security, and event setup, ensuring safe, well-maintained facilities for athletes, spectators, and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing sports or recreational facilities.
• Strong knowledge of groundskeeping and field maintenance.
• Ability to lead and develop a team.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
• First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of all facilities (fields, courts, arenas).
• Develop and implement cleaning, repair, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Supervise groundskeepers, maintenance staff, and event support personnel.
• Ensure facilities meet safety standards and regulations; conduct regular inspections.
• Oversee event setup and breakdown in coordination with organizers.
• Manage inventory of equipment, supplies, and maintenance materials.
• Develop and manage the facilities operating budget.
