Job summary
Gray Media's Arizona’s Family in Phoenix is seeking a dynamic Sports Executive Producer to lead a cross-platform sports brand. This role combines hosting a daily streaming show with overseeing live, multi-platform sports content and partnerships with pro teams.
You will guide the digital space, collaborate with the News Director and Managing Editor, and mentor a team of producers, reporters, and anchors to deliver urgent, engaging stories for broadcast and digital platforms across the market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Journalism and 5+ years of TV production/exec experience.
- Experience leading cross-platform sports content and hosting duties.
- Strong news judgment with ability to balance speed and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily creation and delivery of live and multi-platform sports content.
- Host the daily sports streaming show with high-energy on-air presence.
- Collaborate with the digital team to drive conversation and engagement online.
- Maximize pro partnerships for exclusive access and coverage.
- Highlight local youth sports and community stories.
- Lead producers, reporters, and anchors with regular feedback and reviews.
- Ensure stories evolve across platforms and avoid repetitive coverage.
- Be the loudest voice during breaking sports news across all platforms.
