Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi is seeking a casino cashier/wagering associate to handle wagering tickets, cash transactions, and guest questions at the self-betting terminals. The role requires strong cash handling skills, attention to detail, and excellent guest service.

You will balance drawers, maintain an organized window, and ensure compliance with gaming regulations while supporting operations across weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have MS Gaming License.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Ability to balance cash drawer with accuracy.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Creates wagering tickets and cashes tickets for guests.
• Collects appropriate amount of money from the guest for wagers and makes the correct change
• Assists guests with questions regarding wagering and how to use the self-betting terminals.
• Verifies and balanced drawer funds at beginning and end of shift. Safeguards said funds.
• Maintains assigned window in a neat, organized, and professional manner.
• Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.
• Provides superior guest service to all guests.
• Removes, records, and turns in amount of cash in register at end of shift, with necessary paperwork.
• Ensures compliance with the federal currency transaction reporting requirements.
• Must know and comply with requirements of Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act as pertains to Credit/Cage transactions.
• Must have basic computer skills including casino systems and MS applications including Word and Excel.
• Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Maintain flexibility to handle changing priorities.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to exercise initiative and a sense of urgency.
• Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
• Keen attention to detail.
