Job summary

Bally's Corporation in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Sportsbook Cashier to provide prompt, courteous service to guests while handling bets and payments. You will maintain a till, balance cash, and process wagering transactions using sportsbook systems.

The role requires at least 6 months in wagering, strong cash handling, and excellent customer service skills. This is a full-time onsite position with compliance duties.

Qualifications

• Must know and follow cash handling procedures and regulations.
• Experience with sportsbook systems and knowledge of wagering terms is preferred.
• Minimum 6 months in race and sports wagering or related cash handling roles.

Responsibilities

• Accept bets and write tickets for sporting events with accuracy.
• Pay winners and reconcile tickets and vouchers using a sports computer system.
• Maintain till accuracy and balance across shifts.
• Keep a neat, stocked window for the next shift and process transactions.
• Maintain confidentiality of privileged information and comply with policies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Sportsbook Cashier provides prompt, courteous, accurate and overall exceptional service to guests.
• Accepts bets and writes tickets for all sporting events from guests in a professional and courteous manner, utilizing a sports computer system.
• Receives sport tickets from guests and pays guests who present winning tickets and vouchers utilizing a sports computer system.
• Maintains and balances a till for use in issuing and redeeming tickets and vouchers including following void procedures and cash handling procedures.
• Maintains a neat and well‑stocked window for the next shift.
• Processes and maintains accurate transactions and reconciliations.
• Must know all terms and conditions pertaining to sports wagering.
• Must be fully aware of all lines and odds in the new Sportsbook.
• Accurately and thoroughly completes all requisite Company, federal, state, tax, and/or gaming regulation records and forms.
• Maintains confidentiality of privileged information obtained because of normal working procedures.
• Performs all duties in accordance with established Company, departmental, and regulatory policies and procedures.

Target Compensation Range:

• $13.50 per hour

Qualifications

• Ability to operate the Sportsbook tracking system and Title 31 software system (preferred).
• Strong background and in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry and betting process (preferred).
• Six (6) months of prior experience in race and sports wagering (preferred).
• Prior cash handling experience required (preferred).
• Customer service experience required (preferred).
• Must be at least 21 years of age (preferred).
• High School diploma or GED required (preferred).
