Job summary

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, RecSports Department seeks a coordinator to advise around 46 student organization sport clubs, guiding practices, budgets, and events. You will recruit and supervise student staff, oversee risk management, and maintain key records while ensuring club compliance with university policies.

This on-site role requires strong communication, leadership, and budgeting skills to support student learning and campus recreation success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience with students or 3 years in related field.
• Ability to supervise student staff and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate club trips, budgets, and budget allocation systems.
• Recruit, hire, train, and oversee student employees.
• Oversee membership, compliance, and risk management protocols.
• Maintain payroll, injury, incident, and inventory records.
• Advise clubs on activity, development, and university requirements.
• Plan officer training and supervise events at facilities.
