Job summary

The Snohomish County Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Parks & Recreation Division seeks a Project Specialist II to lead the development and implementation of a sponsorship and fundraising program supporting Evergreen State Fair Park and the Parks system.

The role emphasizes identifying, cultivating and managing sponsorship opportunities that generate revenue and strengthen partnerships across the parks system.

Qualifications

• Plans, develops and implements projects; identifies information required, chooses data collection methods and collects data.
• Leads one large project and/or multiple small projects; coordinates with technical staff; directs work of others.
• Prepares bids, requests for proposals and contracts; monitors contractors and agreements; approves work and invoices.
• Prepares, submits and manages grant proposals; coordinates grant-funded subcontractors; manages non-accounting aspects of minor grants.
• Gives presentations to diverse groups; communicates effectively in writing and verbally; builds partnerships.

• Serves as staff representative on various interest groups; solicits support and coordinates communications and materials.
