Job summary

Snohomish County's Parks & Recreation Division is seeking a Project Specialist II to lead a sponsorship and fundraising program for Evergreen State Fair Park and the parks system. The role focuses on identifying and cultivating sponsorships, building partnerships, and generating revenue to support programs, events, and facilities.

In addition to sponsorship duties, the specialist may drive special projects, pursue long-term funding or grants, and manage related initiatives that benefit Snohomish

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences/ natural resource management/ public administration or related field.
• One year of experience in work specific to the job; Master’s may substitute for one year.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement projects; identify information needed; select data collection methods; analyze and prepare proposals.
• Lead one large project or multiple small projects; coordinate with staff; ensure compliance with laws and grant requirements.
• Prepare bids and contracts; monitor contractor performance; approve progress and bills; produce status reports.
• Prepare and manage grant proposals; monitor contracts; coordinate work by grant-funded subcontractors.
• Represent the department on groups; solicit support; develop promotional materials; arrange presentations; delegate tasks.
• Give presentations to groups; attend meetings; prepare materials and reports.
• Provide support to environmental, infrastructure or regulatory programs; assist with planning, reporting and stakeholder coordination.
