Job summary

Snohomish County's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Parks & Recreation Division seeks a Project Specialist II to lead sponsorship and fundraising efforts for Evergreen State Fair Park and the county parks system.

You will identify, cultivate and manage sponsorship opportunities, pursue strategic initiatives and grants, and collaborate across departments to support programs, events and facilities with strong community partnerships.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, public administration, or related field.
One year of relevant work experience or equivalent training.
Ability to pass job-related tests.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop and implement projects; collect data and prepare proposals.
Lead large projects or multiple small projects; supervise staff as assigned.
Prepare bids, RFPs and contracts; monitor contractors and progress.
Prepare and manage grant proposals; coordinate with grant-funded subcontractors.
Represent the department at groups; solicit support and organize presentations.
Deliver presentations to Snohomish County and support program promotion.
Provide guidance to environmental, infrastructure, or regulatory programs.
