Qualifications

  • Three years full-time experience providing financial, accounting, or business process support within established policies and procedures.
  • Experience interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
  • Experience in grants and contracts financial accounting or sponsored research administration.
  • Experience using computerized accounting systems or spreadsheet software to compile, summarize, analyze and report on financial transactions.
  • Customer service/support experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Financial Unit by organizing, prioritizing, and planning workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Review financial reporting and closeouts prepared by Accounting Specialists before submission to sponsors.
  • Assist with complex billing, award setups, and closeout work.
  • Run aging reports, perform risk assessments, and provide collections recommendations.
  • Provide training and supervision to team members and report progress monthly.
