Job summary

KPFF Spokane’s Transportation Team focuses on designing infrastructure that moves people and connects communities across the region. We work on transit facilities, roadways, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, airport landside facilities, and major projects throughout the Inland and Pacific Northwest.

You will work with experienced engineers on real projects from day one. Located in downtown Spokane, our Summer 2027 Transportation Engineering Internship provides hands‑on learning, CAD support

Qualifications

• Pursuing ABET-accredited bachelor’s in civil or environmental engineering.
• Junior year completed by start of 2027 Summer Internship.
• Fundamental engineering knowledge is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable in teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced engineers with solving problems and achieving project goals.
• Support CAD staff with design tasks, calculations, plan production and reviews.
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to contribute to project development.
• Travel to project sites to observe existing conditions.
• Work within regulations and KPFF standards with a collaborative team.
• Engage in a dynamic, creative, and excellence‑driven environment.
